Mission San Antonio de Padua

The mission of San Antonio de Padua, located in an area called the Valley of the Oaks, was situated amongst fertile land and fresh water. The Spanish friars urged the local Salinian Indians, who were primarily hunters, to learn how to live off the land, raise animals, and tend crops.
