　　老残游记（又名《老残游记初编》）版本：光绪三十二（１９０６）年在《天津日日新闻》逐日连载。二十回。作者：刘鶚（１８５７～１９０９），字铁云，江苏丹徒人。精算学、水利，懂医学，曾在上海行医。后转投金石学家吴大澂名下，涉猎金石学，结识王懿荣。王死后，家人為了还债，将王懿荣收藏的甲骨卜辞，大部分转让刘鶚。刘氏此时也收购刻辞甲骨，前后藏有近五千片。１９０３年将收藏的刻辞甲骨搨印了１０５８片，在罗振玉帮助下，出版了我国第一部甲骨文书籍：《铁云藏龟》。另著《老残游记》一书。内容：作者藉由一走方郎中老残之眼，描述了酷吏昏官误国之害与清末官场之腐败。
